I have lived most of my life in Bell County, TX.
My family lived in Marble Falls from 1997-2003.
I graduated from Falls Career High School – Marble Falls in May 2004.
I then moved to Laramie, WY in July 2004 to attend Wyotech. Wyotech was a great school, however I just couldn’t settle into it. I stayed in the Wyoming area until September 2007. I then moved back to Killeen, TX.
My family has been jet skiing since the 1980’s. I started riding as a passenger when I was 4. I started riding on my own at about 5 on a wedge. I have had my Boaters Education License since 1998.
My family hasn’t had much time to ski in the past few years. I thought it was time to get us started again. My family never raced, although we have always been fans. My parents planned their wedding around the World Finals in 1991, they went for their honeymoon.
We have some family friends that raced in the early 90’s. My family and friends also promoted and held jet ski races in Bell County. We have been away from the racing scene for many years, until now. We are excited to be back.
I purchased my current boat in March 2008 for exercise. After riding for a few weeks, I started thinking about racing. I went to my first race April 19 & 20, 2008 in Baytown. My first day, I raced in the Beginner Class. The second day, I moved to Novice Ski Stock.
I have a very competitive side and I take my racing very seriously. I try to work out twice a day and ride as many days a week as possible. I work in Marble Falls, so during the week I usually ride at LakeMarble Falls. If I’m not riding there, I am at Stillhouse Lake. I try to put buoys out, but if there is no time I ride without them and make a course in my head.
After the IJSBA World Finals, I had my motor modified to Limited Class specs. At the last race of the season, I ran in Novice Ski Limited. I also borrowed a Runabout to see if I liked racing the Runabouts; I loved it.
I am planning to have my boat painted this winter. Now is the perfect opportunity to get prime placement of your logo on my boat.
