Q&A - Personal
Why do you compete?
It's a main way I use to get noticed.
Describe your style...
Steezy, buttery and creative
Why do you like this sport?
I love the feeling of snowboarding.
Especially that feeling you get when you learn a new trick when you've been trying it over and over. You just feel so relieved and stoked at the same time. It's pretty churning I guess. :{P (mustache guy).... like that dude on the Pringles can.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I travel over 560 miles a week to train. I usually train at Wisp Mountain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But just recently I found a new mountain (Bear Creek) with a sick park way, way better than the one at Wisp(x100000)so I'm gonna be checking that out too. Usually starting in early January, the regional USASA comps start. I am usually busy with those every weekend for about two months. I train with my alpine race coaches on Wednesday. Any holiday or days when school is out, I free ride with friends or whoever... steezy 24/7.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Happy--
whether I'm poor or lonely or whatever, I just wanna be happy. And probably snowboarding--if thats what going to make me happy everyday when I'm an adult.

Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I have been on the slopes since I was 18 months. I eagerly got my first board when I was a wee 5 year old. When I was 9, I joined the Deep Creek Winter Sports Team. I began to participate in our home mountain events and liked the feeling of competing. I progressed to NASTAR events and USASA events.
List your competitive highlights:
I am a three time NASTAR National Champion for 2006, 2007 & 2008. I competed in the 2006 NASTAR Nationals Race of Champions and finished with the second fastest raw time in the snowboard division. The past two years I competed in the USASA National Championships. In 2008, I achieved an Overall National Alpine Ranking of 6th. I was 4th in Boardercross, 5th in GS, 7th in Slalom and 15th in Slopestyle. Competiting in the USASA Mason-Dixon Series for the past two years, I have placed 1st in every series competition for GS, Slalom, Boardercross and Slopestyle. In 2007, I won the Maryland Govenors Cup.
What are you planning for next season?
I want to podium at Nationals. I want to compete in all five snowboarding events at USASA Nationals and achieve an overall ranking. I'm planning on getting a better coach for slopestyle. I'm planning to lay off a bit on comps and focus on just riding. I really want to get more filming in and go see new mountains to ride.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Finishing in the Top Ten for three disciplines at the 2008 USASA Nationals. Three 1st place finsihes at NASTAR Nationals.
