Hmm, where should I start?
Ive been snowboarding for 10 years now and it is by far my favorite thing to do. I ride a 2006 151 Nitro Target with Ride Lx bindings. Regular stance. Left foot 10 degress, Right foot 8 degress. I have been competing for 3 years now in only local competions but plan on attending atleast one USASA competion this year. My local mountian is Wintergreen and Whitetail resort. All tho these do not compare at all to the resorts out west. I only get to ride 4 out of the 12 months and out of those 4 months only about 5 times do i ever get to go to a Ski resort. When it does snow here which is little, we do the best that we can and make some preaty desent jumps. Besides snowboarding in the summer I enjoy skateboarding and wakeboarding. Other then that there is really not much more to it.
Why do you like to do this sport?
Why do I like snowboarding so much? I like snowboarding so much, because it is so much different then any other board sport. The things that can be done on a snowboard are alot more fun then say skateboarding. Flying 15 feet in the air doing spins personal is alot more fun then jumping a little stair set.
Why do you compete?
While I compete to win, thats not the only reason why I do it. It's a time that gets you reconized by other people. A time to show of something new and watch other people and see what they have been working on.
What are your best memories of snowboarding?
Thats going to have to be my first competion ever. I remember it was at Wintergreen resort, slopestyle hosted bt Glass & Powder Boardshop. I was 13, and I was so scared. I remember it was my time to drop in then I stood up and they annouced my name. Then of course I messed up both runs and got like 10th place.
